YoFi Fest is a new film festival for audiences throughout
Westchester, the Hudson Valley and the entire tri-state area. It's three days of people watching and talking about movies and a chance to see new works by emerging filmmakers, including features, shorts, music videos, animation and student works. Saturday and Sunday offer screenings and workshops for kids in the morning followed by a "mini film school" for adults in the afternoon with workshops on the business of film, production, locations, post production, screenwriting and breaking into the business, all led by working industry professionals. There are also a series of small-audience “Meet The Filmmakers” case study screenings where you get to watch a film with the filmmakers (including directors, producers and members of cast and crew) followed by a candid Q&A session where you have the unique opportunity to ask questions about the movie and the challenges of making it, as well as hearing first-person stories from the trenches of the indie-film world. There are also nightly parties where filmmakers and audiences get a chance to talk about the day's screenings or their next project in a fun and casual setting at some of the best local restaurants. YoFi Fest is easy to get to, fun to hang out at and not to be missed!
